Premios Ignotus (Unknown Awards; “ignotus” in latin means “unknown/strange”) are annual Spanish literary awards that were created in 1991 by the Asociación Española de Fantasía, Ciencia Ficción y Terror (AEFCFT), the Spanish Fantasy, Science Fiction and Horror Association. The awards, which are in the genres of science fiction and fantasy, are voted on by members of Hispacon, the Spanish national science fiction convention.
The nominees for 2016 Ignotus Awards – “Spanish Hugos”- have been announced by AEFCFT (Science Fiction Fantasy and Terror Spanish Association). Winners will be proclaimed during 2016 EuroCon in Barcelona 4th-6th november.

TerBi Basque Science Fiction Fantasy and Terror Association has announced the 6th Topic Fantastic Story Contest.
The stories had to be about a topic, which was this year “Religions”
Present year winner is the story titled “Baghdad” written by Alfredo Jesús Moreno Vozmediano. Finalist stories were: “Bajo un mismo cielo” by David Luna, “El aquelarre” by Ferrán Varela and “La novicia” by Leonardo Ropero Serrano.
